His second documentary feature is called, Outside the City, and follows the contemplative Roman Catholic Cistercian monastic community in the heart of rural Leicestershire. The monks of Mt St Bernard Abbey, a community of 25 men with many over 80 years old, are opening the first Trappist brewery in the UK. For their historic, counter cultural lifestyle to survive the venture must succeed. Nick talks to us about filming the monks, spirituality and turning your back on consumerism.
